Nana Kwame Bediako
Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Freedom Jacob Caesar or Cheddar, is a well-known Ghanaian entrepreneur. He founded and chairs the Kwarleyz Group, a prominent real estate and property management company in Ghana. Recently, he has taken on a new role as the leader of the New Force political movement.
In an interview on Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen, he emphasized his eligibility for the Ghanaian presidency, asserting that he is over 40 years old. Born in Asokwa, a neighborhood in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, he attended Accra Academy and later Apam Secondary School before pursuing studies in the United Kingdom at Waltham Forest College.
Proud of his Ghanaian heritage, he highlighted his roots, with his mother from Brekum and his father from Mampong. He identifies with both Asante and Bono ethnicities. His brother, Kweku Bediako, is also involved in the real estate sector.
On January 7, 2024, Cheddar formally announced his candidacy for the Ghanaian presidency, ending weeks of speculation regarding his political aspirations within the New Force movement. At a press conference following the cancellation of the New Africa Foundation’s Convention, he expressed his belief that his life's purpose is to make a meaningful impact.
Regarding his political stance, he stated that he sees himself as a bridge between the youth and the government, aiming for unity. Additionally, he clarified that his character "Freedom Jacob Caesar" represents his ideals. He also declared his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 elections.
