American rapper Rick Ross has hinted of a new collaboration with Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy on an upcoming project.
The CEO of Maybach Music Group, an American record label, revealed in a video on his Instagram story that they are planning a project in Africa featuring several African artists.
Rick Ross mentioned that the upcoming project will not only involve African artists but specifically mentioned Stonebwoy, Yemi Alade, and Diamond Platinumz as part of the collaboration.
He expressed the intention to include a total of twelve African artists in the album.
Meek Mill, the American rapper, has expressed interest in collaborating with a Nigerian or Ghanaian artist to produce an album. On January 30, he took to Twitter to pose the question to his followers, asking for suggestions on potential collaborators from Nigeria or Ghana. In a subsequent tweet, Meek Mill disclosed that he usually charges $250,000 for a verse but is willing to negotiate down to $150,000 under the right circumstances.
On another platform, Meek Mill shared that he charges a high fee for his verses, emphasizing that if an artist has $150,000 and he likes the song, they can proceed with the collaboration.
He explained that his extensive fanbase of over 50 million people and strategic playlisting on streaming platforms can serve as valuable promotional tools for the collaborating artist.
Meek Mill believes that this exposure can provide the artist with additional platforms to showcase their talent and gain recognition.
